Simran Mann

Articling Student

Simran returned to Taxpayer Law as an articling student after summering with the firm and completing her law degree at the University of Ottawa. As an articling student, Simran supports the firm’s lawyers through legal research, drafting and file preparation across the firm’s tax dispute practice.

During law school, Simran received the Borden Ladner Gervais Advanced Business Law Course Prize, achieving the highest mark in Corporate Tax and the Dentons Prize for achieving the highest mark in Commercial Law. Simran participated in three moot competitions, served as an Assistant Editor of the Ottawa Law Review and was elected to her law school’s student council. She developed her interest in tax law through volunteer work at an income tax clinic and regularly shares insights on tax and other legal developments with her professional network on LinkedIn.

Outside of work, Simran enjoys running, strength training, reading, cooking and baking. She also performed in her law school’s production of The Addams Family.
