Kris Gurprasad

Kris brings over 16 years of experience in Canadian tax litigation and dispute resolution. He has represented clients in hundreds of tax matters across a wide range of forums, including CRA audits, appeals, and voluntary disclosures, as well as proceedings before the Tax Court of Canada, the Federal Court of Canada, the Federal Court of Appeal, the Ontario Court of Justice, the Ontario Superior Court of Justice, the Alberta Court of Queen’s Bench, and the Ontario Court of Appeal. With extensive hands-on experience resolving tax disputes, Kris has encountered and successfully addressed an unmatched variety of tax issues in his wide-ranging career.

Before joining Taxpayer Law, Kris practiced at two specialized tax law firms, focusing exclusively on tax litigation and dispute resolution. In addition to his substantial private-sector experience, he worked at the CRA’s Income Tax Rulings Directorate, gaining valuable first-hand insight into the agency’s interpretation and administration of the Income Tax Act.

Committed to ongoing professional development, Kris has completed all three levels of CPA Canada’s In-Depth Tax Course, further enhancing his expertise in complex tax matters.
